After working for many years in accounts, I decided that I needed to find a new path in my life. So, I took an NVQ Level 3 and began working in advice and guidance. But there was always something missing. Holistic work and spirituality had always interested me, so I began my path in this direction by taking a Level 3 Itec Diploma in Holistic Massage.
Reiki came into my life during the next few years. I studied all levels and eventually became a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Method of Natural Healing. The more I practised Reiki the more it became apparent to me, that the gentle energy worked in wonderful harmony with the massage therapy, enhancing and increasing the benefits.

After practising for a while I felt that I would like to teach Reiki, and also run some workshops on spirituality and wellbeing. I decided to take the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (Ptlls) course, Level 4, to help me to structure my teaching and help me to learn to assess as a tutor.
In 2017 I also became a Tripudio Instructor, this enables me to teach a class in Tripudio, which is a gentle movement to music to encourage the flow of lymph around the body.
In November 2017, I took the training and became a Soul Midwife through the teachings of Felicity Warner. It is an honour to be able to assist people on their last journey home, at the end of their life. A Soul Midwife has been described as ‘a holistic and spiritual companion to the dying’. It is beautiful and sacred work and part of the service that I provided whilst working at Harlington Hospice. I left the hospice at the end of 2022; I had worked there for 8 years and it was my honour to work with some beautiful souls there, some of whom I will never forget.
As time has gone on, I have become more interested in the spiritual and sacred part of my work. It is with this in mind that I start down yet another path; one of spiritual teaching, coaching and writing.
Life is always teaching us something and we are forever students. For, as much as we think we know, we know very little indeed.
